Justin Burcham: Owner/President
Justin has been playing with high performance cars since the late ‘80s. His first real high performance car was a 1977 Trans Am purchased in 1990. Once he added nitrous, headers, a torque converter, gears and all the other standard engine mods, he definitely caught the “performance bug.” Justin always had to have the fastest car at school, so the racing addiction has been with him for years. After working at a few general repair facilities in the early ‘90s while attending the University of Maryland, he left to pursue his high performance dreams. He started by working at Talon Performance Engines, a high performance engine building facility, taking a job sweeping floors, just to get his foot in the door. He worked his way up the ladder, cleaning blocks, machining blocks, machining heads, porting heads, engine assembly and eventually dyno tuning. He had a great understanding of engine design, assembly and tuning by the mid ‘90s. He then took a job at MDG Performance, which further improved his engine skills with assembly, installation and tuning of high performance marine engines. The engines ranged from 400ci to 600ci, from supercharged 1000hp to NA 900hp engines. His job at MDG also included running the service department at the marina, which consisted of invoicing customers, inventory and ordering parts, as well dealing with all the customers. He gained valuable experience in running a small business as he has always worked for small businesses. Justin then left MDG to continue chasing his high performance dreams and started JPC in 2001. After doing well locally throughout the years in the Mustang scene and always having a special place for Mustangs in his heart, a high performance shop that catered primarily to Mustangs seemed like the only shoe that fit. Having gained experience from the six Mustangs he owned at the time helped as well. Justin has a hand in all the daily tasks of the performance shop, from helping customers in the showroom to answering phones/e-mails, overseeing the jobs in the shop, running the racing team, upkeep on racecars, designing and doing R&D on new products, dyno tuning cars, working on the website, to name a few. Oh, did we mention he is also a family man with a very understanding wife that has been with him for 17 years? He is also a proud father of his 16-year-old daughter, Tori, and two sons, Dylan (4) and Corey (1). They are all very supportive of his company and his racing addiction. Justin/JPC is in this for the long haul and will do whatever it takes to keep his customers happy!!
