Known unofficially as the S197 Magnum, this new 6-speed model will feature a direct-shift extension housing designed to eliminate the notoriously unpopular semi-remote factory shifter. Additionally, a slip yoke style interface will also make it easy to ditch the equally unpopular 2-piece driveshaft in favor of a more robust 1-piece arrangement.

As with all Magnum 6-speeds, Tremec aims to put a 700 lb-ft. seal of approval on the new Mustang units, and will eventually offer them with both Magnum ratio packages to suit a variety of street and performance driving scenarios.

Great solution for 2011-2014 Ford Mustangs with fragile factory Getrag MT-82 transmissions! Also replacing the weak TR3650 and the shifting issue prone TR6060.

Transmission will work with OEM slave cylinder on 2005-2010 GT, 2007-2009 GT500 and 2011-up GT/Boss. 2010-up GT500 requires different Slave listed in options

***2011-up GT/BOSS require the Speed Calibration Box which is added into the cost of the package when selecting your vehicle***

***Aftermarket flywheel REQUIRED for 2007-up GT500 and 2011-up GT/Boss. Highly recommended for all applications***

Which clutch is right for me?

We offer several different clutches to meet everyone's needs. If you're unsure of which to go with here's a little breakdown.

 

Spec Stage 2+ Bolt On car making under 500hp.

Spec Stage 3+ Power Adder cars making less then 750hp (Better Clutch Engagement and less Pedal Effort)

Mcleod RST - Stock to Power Adder cars making under 750hp

Mcleod RXT - Cars making 600hp-1000hp 

Mcleod RXT 1200 - Cars making up to 1200hp

 

Do I need a Billet Yoked Driveshaft?

We offer both a standard and billet yoked driveshaft. The billet yoke is76 recommended for cars making in excess of 800rwhp.

 

Which Flywheel is right for me?

We've got several flywheel options available for our customers-

Lightened and billet are great for street cars

Aluminum is for someone looking to get everything out of their car 

Spec Flywheels must be used with Spec clutches

Mcleod Flywheels must be used with Mcleod clutches 

 

Do I need a driveshaft safety loop?

Everyone needs one if they want to pass tech at their drag strip or if you just want that extra safety for your car.  This loop is designed to easily bolt-on your 2005-up Mustang GT, 2012-2013 BOSS Mustang & 2007-up SHELBY GT500 that is equipped with the Tremec Magnum XL T-56 upgrade.

    i got the 2.97 geared version complete kit. this is the best trans i ever owned. the full kit was so easy to install i would rec this for anyone wanting the best transmission. this thing shifts so smooth. u feel it lock into each gear, shifts are easy and smooth.

    Well just finished the install on my 2014 mustang gt transmission clutch and flywheel fitment top notch. But the drive line the rear yoke the bolt holes were drilled a bit to small could only get one bolt started then the rest tried to cross thread. After I drilled the holes out with next size bit all was well. The speed calibration box that was kinda a mess you have to cut old speed sensor pig tail off and splice into it. If I was to buy this kit again witch I would the only thing I would like to see different is the wireing harness to be plug and play and something to tie in the reverse inhibitor I tied mine into the break light indicator wires works awesome definetly would recommend this kit.

    I haven been wanting to pick up this Magnum XL package for a long while now. I did a lot of research and ended up purchasing from JPC. Everything arrived in a timely manner and great service from Tommy with JPC. I look forward to doing more business with JPC in the very near future.

    When JPC states complete kit they leave nothing out. Not only do you get the complete transmission with choice of gear ratios, gear shifter, SFI bell housing, transmission cross member, Dynotech aluminum drive shift with 1350 yoke, comes with Spec clutch and flywheel.
    But you have options for upgrades on the clutch and flywheel. I choose the Mcleod RXT twin disc clutch and Billet lightened steel flywheel for my 750 RWHP street strip car.
