This straight forward part will solve most shifting and lockout problems for the mt-82. Shame on ford for the plastic line they put in but hallelujah for Jpcracing for making a very quality part for the best price in the market. Love this product and it's a must have for anyone that hasn't upgraded there clutch line.

A must have Mod for the Mustang

After I received the clutch line, I tested the fluid capacity of both the JPC line and the stock clutch line. The JPC line held 20ml of fluid vs 14ml for the OEM line, demonstrating the superior capacity of the JPC line over the stock unit. Whereas some other vendors use AN3, the JPC unit is constructed from AN4, which provides a larger inside diameter for increased fluid flow. Having said all that, after the install, I immediately noticed that the JPC line provided better clutch feel, especially in the dreaded second to third shift. I am fortunate that my car has headers and a high flow catted X-Pipe, as installation only took around 25 minutes with my car on ramps. It will be a slightly more difficult installation with the stock cats interfering with the access to the bottom fitting, but it's well worth the effort. Here's an install hint: When you disconnect the stock line from the top reservoir, cap the top of the OEM line with a tight fitting vacuum plug. When you disconnect the bottom fitting from the bellhousing, this will prevent any brake fluid from flowing out of the OEM line, making the install a lot less messy. I used a sink drain plug with the appropriate diameter with a fitting drilled through the middle and attached to my brake vacuum to vacuum bleed the line from the brake reservoir - pump it to about 20 lbs vacuum and with a few presses of the clutch pedal, and repeated a few times, the air was gone and the result was a firm clutch pedal. This product greatly improves the clutch action and provides a much needed increase in clutch plate movement when daily driving or speed shifting at the track. The MT82 Gertrag and remote shifter bracket are a horrible design, making this modification a must have for any Mustang with the stock transmission.
